Rubén Darío
Dario’s poetry is
elaborate and very inspiring. It explains how exactly he contributed to the
community in a way to inspire the youth. Also it states that his poetry
resembled wholeness and gratitude. I honestly don’t know a lot about swans
though I do know that they come from a religious background. They represent
elegancy and birth and also have a majestic side as well. I believe that Dario
in his poem uses the metaphor under the wing of a swan because of how popular
the swan is used in the popular culture. It gives the poem more of an importance
and helps the reader understand how much this should mean. The poem Roosevelt speaks about the past
president that we had in the United States, Theodore Roosevelt. Teddy Rossevelt
was very important in the Latin culture since he had everything to do with the
United States participating in the Latin American culture. This made it possible
for the United States to know everything about the problems involving Latin
America. A lot of Latin America including Dario was against this even though
they admired the United States because of the power and the wealth that came
over the United States.
