Del posmodernismo al Boom

The Mexican Revolution, which began on November 20, 1910, and continued for a decade, is recognized as the first major political, social, and cultural revolution of the 20th century. The United States, Mexico’s northern neighbor, was significantly affected by the human dislocation that resulted: if someone did not want to fight, the only alternative was to leave the country—and over 890,000 Mexicans did just that by legally emigrating during the second decade of the 20th century. This allowed for a cultural impact due to the fact that it ultimately let them see outside of the box into gathering strength and courage to fight back. Because of this revolution many art and literature works came about describing the struggle and how the Mexicans overcame.



La novella de la tierra was a piece of work that explained the life and society throughout this struggle. A huge theme was about the problems that surpassed the America’s. The Russian Revolution influenced the indigenous literature for the major actions that resulted by the socioeconomic conditions and the poor places. Also the protest against abuse, poverty, exploitation and immigration on the indigenous people. The vanguardismo was the way and mechanical aspect of the literature while posvanguardismo was the focus in the philosophy, naturalness and existence
