Jorge Luis Borges
Jorge Luis Borges was considered one of the best writers during the 20th century because he developed a new type of writing which opened the door for more opportunities in the world. He was known as a "genre blender" since he would mix pieces of literature his with own unique work. A laberinto is a labyrinth which is a an intricate combination of paths or passages in which it is difficult to find one's way or to reach the exit. I believe that the labyrinths were important in Borges work because it would represent the existence of society, the connection of the catholic church like culture, the governor and the life of all Christians. The labyrinth was so complicated that who ever entered got lost which would end up ultimately in no one wanting to enter. It wasn't a labyrinth literally for society or for man itself it was more for God. I believe he was scandalous because he could always escape the labyrinths. El rey de los árabes entered the labyrinth, he was very confused with the passage and where exactly he needed to go. Later he saw that a door was open and thats how he escaped. Upon leaving he told the rey of Babilonia that he had a better labyrinth in Arabia. The king of Babilonia came to the labyrinth of the rey of Arabia only to find out it was a labyrinth for sure but he was stuck in the middle of the desert abandoned.
